Making the right energy investment decisions for your business.

Decarbonisation involves complex technical choices that have significant financial consequences. We offer independent analysis that transforms those choices into confident decisions.

What we do

Energy costs are a major expense for most businesses in the Commercial and Industrial sectors, and the push to reduce carbon emissions is strong. This pressure comes from regulators, investors, customers, and rising prices. There are various options available, including heat pumps, electrification, process optimisation, renewables, better controls, and operational changes. The tougher question is which options fit your specific needs, how to combine them, and if the financial returns are worth the investment.

ENEREKA offers independent technical analysis to help answer this question. We work with buildings, industrial processes, and operational systems. This includes hotel HVAC and guest hot water, brewery steam generation, and factory compressed air. For each solution we evaluate, we provide details on costs, expected savings, payback period, and implementation steps. Our results are always customised to suit your operations and commercial needs.

We also remain involved after the strategy phase. If you decide to move forward with implementation, we help select contractors, review designs, monitor construction, and ensure that the installed systems perform as expected. A senior engineer is involved throughout this process.

Who we work with

Hospitality & Leisure

Hotels, resorts, gyms, and leisure spaces where energy is a significant operating expense, yet customer satisfaction is non-negotiable.

Commercial Real Estate

Landlords, developers, and owners of portfolios where regulatory requirements, deadlines, and value protection are a complex juggling act.

Food & Beverage Manufacturing

Breweries, dairies, bakeries, and food processors where thermal energy requirements are significant. Decarbonising heat is a solvable problem; it requires the right analysis.

Industrial SMEs

Mid-sized manufacturers where electrification, optimisation, and increasing energy costs are a pressing issue; yet they don’t have the internal expertise to make the best decisions.

Why ENEREKA

Three founders, 25+ years combined experience.

We have delivered decarbonisation strategies, energy retrofits, and process optimisation projects across over 200 sites – from leisure centres to commercial offices, schools, hospitals, and industrial sites. A senior engineer works on your project from start to finish.

Vendor-independent.

We have no commercial relationships with equipment suppliers. What we recommend is based on what works for your building or process, not on what generates a referral fee.

Investment-grade analysis.

Whether it’s a building envelope retrofit or industrial electrification project, we deliver NPV analysis, payback analysis, and phased capital expenditure plans. Our goal is to deliver what you need to get budget approval from your stakeholders.

End-to-end delivery.

From initial assessment and strategy through to contractor procurement, installation oversight, commissioning, and post-completion monitoring. We are as comfortable on a factory floor or a building site as we are in the modelling software.

Selected projects

Solar PV panels and HVAC equipment on a commercial building rooftop
Multi-Site Public Estate Retrofit

Energy strategy and retrofit delivery for a portfolio of 11 buildings including a major sports and leisure centre. The programme covered rooftop solar PV with battery storage, smart building controls across 9 sites, BMS integration, air-source heat pumps, upgraded air handling with VFD motors, and water efficiency measures.

Outcome: 35% reduction in energy costs across the estate, 20% carbon reduction. The sports centre can now operate off-grid for 4-5 hours per day.

County-Wide Decarbonisation Programme

Technical lead on a 22-building programme spanning schools, offices, and leisure centres. Scope included LED lighting, high-efficiency heating systems, solar PV installations, air handling upgrades with variable frequency drives, new building management systems, and CHP integration.

Outcome: 1.7 million kWh annual energy reduction, 443 tonnes CO₂ avoided per year. A single site achieved over £100,000 in annual savings.
