About us
ENEREKA was started by three engineers who had spent years in large consultancies and kept seeing the same issue: clients were paying for long reports that told them to decarbonise, but not how to actually do it in a commercially viable way. Whether it was a building retrofit, process heat conversion, or full-site electrification, the analysis was often technically solid but disconnected from the financial and operational reality of delivering the project.
So we set up ENEREKA to do things differently. We’re a small team, with senior people involved in every project. We produce work that helps our clients make decisions, rather than simply reporting on what the findings are. We’re not trying to build the biggest consultancy in the UK. We’re trying to build one that delivers work that our clients can actually do something with.
The team

Sanduni Pathiraja
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – DECARBONISATION
Sanduni Pathiraja has a strong background in chemical and process engineering, specialising in industrial decarbonisation and heat pump technologies. She brings deep expertise in modelling, feasibility studies, and technology assessment, supporting complex transition projects across sectors and geographies.

Ivana Moric
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – ENERGY
Ivana Moric has extensive experience delivering large-scale decarbonisation and infrastructure projects across the UK. She specialises in taking low-carbon energy systems from concept through to implementation, working across complex projects including industrial decarbonisation, data centres, and major energy infrastructure.

Viktor Malovs
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – POWER AND ENERGY SYSTEMS
Viktor Malovs focuses on developing innovative energy systems and scalable solutions for distributed and temporary power. His work bridges engineering, commercial strategy, and real-world deployment, with particular expertise in multi-technology energy systems and energy transition projects.
How we are different
There are a lot of energy consultancies out there. Here are a few reasons why you should work with us:
We are not your M&E consultant. They maintain and service your building. We assess whether your building’s energy systems are the right ones in the first place, and build the investment case for changing them.
We are not a Big Four ESG advisory team. They help you set targets and write sustainability reports. We do the engineering analysis that determines whether those targets are technically achievable and what it will actually cost.
You work with the founders. Every engagement is led by one of us directly. The person you meet at the pitch is the person who does the analysis and presents the findings.
Our mission
Most businesses know they need to decarbonise. What they don’t have is a clear, practical route to get there that actually makes commercial sense. That’s what we work on. We do the engineering and the economics, and we help clients figure out what to do, in what order, and whether it’s worth the money.
At the end of the day, we judge our work by a simple question: did the client do something differently because of it?
What we stand for
Employee-owned. ENEREKA is owned by the people who do the work. Every team member has a stake in the business through our option pool, and that will not change. When the people delivering the work are the people who own the outcome, the incentives are right.
Engineering that moves. We don’t default to the same answers or recycle old assumptions. The technologies our clients rely on are changing quickly, so we invest in better tools, better models, and better ways of working to keep up.
The environment is the point. Buildings and industrial processes are responsible for most of the UK’s emissions. Reducing them takes detailed, site-specific engineering work, and that’s what we set up this company to do.
Honesty over comfort. If a project doesn’t make financial sense, we’ll say so. If a technology isn’t ready, same thing. Clients come to us for an honest answer, not to be told what they want to hear. We’d rather lose a piece of work than hand over analysis we don’t believe in.
Long-term thinking. The best results come from knowing a client’s operations properly. That’s why we set up retainers and ongoing partnerships. We’re interested in whether things actually got better, not just whether the deliverable went out on time.
Interested in what the numbers look like for your situation?
Book a 30-minute consultation. We will discuss your energy challenges — whether that is a building, a production process, or an entire estate — and give you an honest assessment of what is worth pursuing. No obligation.
