About us
ENEREKA was started by three engineers who had spent years delivering energy projects inside large organisations. Between us we have taken projects from first feasibility through financial close, construction and into operation: battery storage, grid connections, complex generation, and the industrial and building systems around them. We have designed the systems, modelled the numbers lenders need to see, and stood on site while projects got built. Too often the owner is the only party at the table without their own engineer, trusting a contractor’s word on a design that contractor is paid to deliver.
That is the gap we built ENEREKA to close. We work as the Owner’s Engineer and independent technical advisor for people whose own capital is on the line, staying across the whole project rather than handing back a report and leaving. We hold no commercial ties to suppliers or contractors, so what we advise is what the project needs. A founder leads every engagement, so the person you meet is the person doing the work. We are not trying to be the largest advisor in the market, only the one an owner is glad they had when the decisions got expensive.
The team

Sanduni Pathiraja
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – DECARBONISATION
Sanduni Pathiraja has a strong background in chemical and process engineering, specialising in industrial decarbonisation and heat pump technologies. She brings deep expertise in modelling, feasibility studies, and technology assessment, supporting complex transition projects across sectors and geographies.

Ivana Moric
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – ENERGY
Ivana Moric has extensive experience delivering large-scale decarbonisation and infrastructure projects across the UK. She specialises in taking low-carbon energy systems from concept through to implementation, working across complex projects including industrial decarbonisation, data centres, and major energy infrastructure.

Viktor Malovs
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT – POWER AND ENERGY SYSTEMS
Viktor Malovs focuses on developing innovative energy systems and scalable solutions for distributed and temporary power. His work bridges engineering, commercial strategy, and real-world deployment, with particular expertise in multi-technology energy systems and energy transition projects.
How we are different
Here are a few reasons why you should work with us:
We sit on your side of the table. We assess whether the Engineering design provided by your EPC is right and whether their numbers hold up, with no supplier ties and no referral fees pulling us the other way.
We are not an M&A advisor who leaves at close. Most firms show up for the deal and hand back a report. We stay across the whole project, from feasibility through construction and commissioning into operation, so nothing gets lost in a handover between firms.
You work with the founders. Every engagement is led by one of us directly. The person you meet at the pitch is the person who does the analysis and presents the findings.
Our mission
To give owners of energy infrastructure the independent engineering judgement they need at every stage of a project, from first feasibility to operational performance, so that the technical decisions behind their capital are made in their interest and no one else’s.
What we stand for
Employee-owned. ENEREKA is owned by the people who do the work. Every team member has a stake in the business through our option pool, and that will not change. When the people delivering the work are the people who own the outcome, the incentives are right.
Engineering that moves. We don’t default to the same answers or recycle old assumptions. The technologies our clients rely on are changing quickly, so we invest in better tools, better models, and better ways of working to keep up.
The environment is the point. Buildings and industrial processes are responsible for most of the UK’s emissions. Reducing them takes detailed, site-specific engineering work, and that’s what we set up this company to do.
Honesty over comfort. If a project doesn’t make financial sense, we’ll say so. If a technology isn’t ready, same thing. Clients come to us for an honest answer, not to be told what they want to hear. We’d rather lose a piece of work than hand over analysis we don’t believe in.
Long-term thinking. The best results come from knowing a client’s operations properly. That’s why we set up retainers and ongoing partnerships. We’re interested in whether things actually got better, not just whether the deliverable went out on time.
